More about historic Charleston

Charleston is a town bursting with southern style and sophistication. Downtown offers an array of art galleries, historic buildings and monuments, waterfront parks and fine dining. Home to three college campuses, peninsular Charleston is constantly abuzz of events each weekend. Fresh seafood and vegetables can be purchased at the farmers market along with other hand crafted gifts. Whether you take a horse drawn carriage tour of downtown or head over to one of the many barrier island beaches for drinks and dinner, there is something to tickle everyone's fancy in this town. Here are a list of some of our favorite attractions only minutes from the conference venue!

-Walk the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge
-Visit Charleston Waterfront Park
-Tour the Market for handcrafted goods
-Take a historical horse drawn carriage tour
-Relax at Isle of Palms or Folly Beach
-Take a sunset cruise from Shem Creek
-Visit a museum and/or art gallery downtown
-Get some local seafood at one of the many Good Catch restaurant partners
-Walk the Battery, White Point Gardens, and Rainbow Row
-Go fishing with a local charter boat or rent some kayaks at one of our many outfitters
-Take a boat ride over and tour Fort Sumter
