​Bo Petersen is a lefthanded kayaker who plays guitar upside down and backwards. He covers science and the environment for The Post and Courier. He has won or contributed to regional and national press awards for deadline reporting, public service, spot news, investigative series, enterprise, reporting in depth, feature writing, profile feature writing and short feature writing. The author of Washing Our Hands in the Clouds and Soldier Stories, he has been published in more than three dozen journals in the United States and Canada.
